It’s not often we talk about our flight, but then it’s not often (ever)\u00a0we are sitting next to former NFL coach, Marty Schottenheimer. \u00a0Needless to say, there will not be much on this trip that can top this experience for Jerry.\"DSCN3080\"<\/a>He is now\u00a0<\/em>planning on getting back home before football season starts!<\/p>\n

After rather seamlessly putting the bikes back together, we took a stroll through downtown Missoula situated on the banks of the Clark Fork River.\"IMG_0004\"<\/a> \u00a0Everyone was out,\"IMG_0007\"<\/a> enjoying the band and food festival \"DSCN3089\"<\/a>in the 100\u00b0 temperatures (it’s a dry heat, HA!).<\/p>\n

We made a stop at\u00a0Adventure Cycling Association;\"DSCN3096\"<\/a> the organization that maps the U.S. for bicycling riding\/touring and our reason for starting here. \u00a0Missoula is a wonderful place, quaint, quirky, wonderful people.\u00a0As we wandered through\u00a0town, we happened into a running store where we reacquainted ourselves with World Class Marathoner, Dick Beardsley, \"DSCN3102<\/a>here\u00a0for the Missoula Marathon.<\/p>\n

We found a wonderful\u00a0local Brew Pub, a good place to replenish.\"DSCN3081\"<\/a>This is what Montana Flatbread looks like, Yum!<\/p>\n

Now fully fortified,\u00a0we can climb out of the valley and over\u00a0the mountains that surround<\/strong> the town.\"DSCN3086\"<\/a><\/p>\n\n\t\t
