<\/a>Though our Floridian host, Bobby, was not at all happy with the 62\u00b0 temps, we were delighted to be at least starting<\/em> in the cool air. \u00a0We wound our way out of the quiet tree lined streets of this Homossasa neighborhood <\/a>and then headed south. \u00a0Our carefully laid out route of mostly a bike trail was quickly\u00a0adjusted\u00a0to the straight-shot highway we were on. \u00a0The new\u00a0shoulder was freshly painted as a\u00a0bike lane and just too inviting\u00a0to leave, plus, it would save us some miles (Morgan, take note<\/em>)! \u00a0But there was absolutely nothing of any interest on this road;<\/a>not even the challenge of getting lost.<\/p>\nAs the morning rolled along the temperatures slowly crept up, as did the winds, but at least it was flat. The road became busier as we traveled closer to towns and only once did we catch a glimpse of some waterside dinning and potential fun spot to be, But the cr\u00e9me de la\u00a0creme\u00a0of every trip is dinner\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a> but we were long past it before the idea of a refreshment occurred to us. \u00a0With the winds becoming a factor and the temps in the 90’s, we decided to not overdo it the first day and stopped at 47 miles. \u00a0We both felt good getting that “first ride” in after last year’s trip.<\/p>\n<\/a>and tonight did not disappoint, <\/a> both dishes were served with a side of pasta. \u00a0Needless to say, we waddled back to the hotel.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
