Not having to leave first thing in the morning, we enjoyed the luxury of sleeping in; actually, we still had some visiting to do.\u00a0 We enjoyed the best breakfast we’ve had the entire trip with family.\u00a0 Unfortunately, our malfunctioning camera would not provide us with a picture of breakfast, but it was awesome.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And as much as we didn’t want to leave…….well, most of you know we do not sit still well (or for very long)…….. so we bid farewell and pushed away at noon.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Wir vermissen dich schon, bis wir uns wiedersehen, lieben Jerry und Lori.<\/em><\/p>\n

Leaving mid-day, meant it was going to be a short ride……fine with me as the wind was still kicking and still in our face.\u00a0 We backtracked a few miles to catch the ferry across the Weser River.\"\"<\/a>We rode the dike\"\"<\/a>past neat little villages\"\"<\/a>and fields lush with flowers and green from all the rain.\"\"<\/a>When we reached our destination of Oldenburg, \"\"<\/a>we stopped in the square trying to figure out which way to turn to find our hotel.\u00a0 That is when we met Herbert, \"\"<\/a>who insisted on leading us to our hotel, even though it was straight down the street.\u00a0 Once we reached it, he told us we really did not want to stay there (in German, of course) that he would lead us to a better hotel.\u00a0 Once again, though it was just down the street, he took us to the front door of the hotel. \u00a0 We met later for a drink\"\"<\/a> and he provided us with a map and goodies to help us on our way…….lovely, lovely people.\u00a0 So though a short day of only 31 miles, we must say goodnight.\n\t\t
